Eras ago a nameless empire needed more. Soon their need for ever more expansive and evermore resource-hungry factories was butting up against a monumental problem: geography itself. It was not worth it to level an entire mountain range for a factory, so the factories grew upwards in a Gordian knot until it was so bad something had to be done. The Imperial Magis had a simple plan: if the world had outgrown its usefulness simply leave it behind and move their industry to a pocket dimension fueled by hyperbolic spacetime. Once there they could build out as much as they wish, and on an entirely clean slate, planned to perfection to create the ultimate factory.
And so they did.
That empire fell in but one day in a rain of caelumudic fire. The only remnant was a single bunker housing the portal to a factory.
With the rest of the empire destroyed and unable to provide power to the bunker, the pocket dimension froze. No time has passed inside the factory, even as the countless eons erase even the faintest memory of this place.
